2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email, username, phone number, password (stored as a secure hash), optional address, and optional profile photo.
• Sign-in & sign-up verification — one-time email codes, magic sign-in links, and (when enabled) WhatsApp or SMS codes. Codes expire quickly and are stored only as a secure hash.
• Health notes — optional condition name and severity, asked after you sign in (not during sign-up). This is for safer salon services only — not a medical record or diagnosis. You can skip or update it in your profile.
• Booking & messages — appointment requests, service preferences, and messages you send to the studio.
• Guest browsing — a temporary guest profile on your device. Contact details you share for an offer stay with that guest profile so the studio can reach you.
• Technical data — approximate location from IP when you create a profile, plus standard server logs to run and secure the site.
• Marketing list — when you create an account, your name and email may be added to the studio mailing list. You can ask to be removed at any time.

3. How we use your information

• Create and manage your client account
• Verify your email or phone when you sign up or sign in (email code, magic link, Google, WhatsApp, or SMS — depending on what the studio has enabled)
• Confirm bookings, send reminders, and respond to messages
• Use optional health notes only to plan safer, more comfortable salon services
• Share relevant offers and studio updates (if you signed up or opted in)
• Improve the website, prevent abuse, and keep accounts secure

4. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage (such as localStorage and session storage) to remember your sign-in or guest session, preferences, and similar site features. These are needed for the site to work and are not used to sell advertising profiles.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is used by the studio and trusted service providers that help us run the site (for example email or SMS delivery). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the studio, our clients, or the site.

6. Retention

Account, booking, and message data is kept while your account is active and for as long as needed for studio records, legal, or security purposes. Sign-in codes expire (typically within 15 minutes). Guest data stored only on your device remains until you clear site data or leave guest mode.

7. Your choices

• Update your profile (including optional health notes) while signed in
• Skip the post-sign-in health prompt — we will not ask again unless you change it in your profile
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by contacting us
• Ask to stop marketing emails; transactional messages about bookings or sign-in codes may still be sent when needed
• Browse as a guest without creating an account (booking and messaging still require sign-in)

8. Children

This site is intended for clients and visitors who can make booking decisions. If you believe a child’s information was submitted, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
